Jiang Zhen received her Ph.D. degree from the Institute of Middle Eastern Studies at Northwest University in 2007. She is currently an associate professor in Northwest University and a visiting scholar in Center for Middle East Development of UCLA. Her research mostly focuses on modern history and politics of Iran and the relations between China and the Middle East.
