2015 Summer Research Program at Peking University

This ten-week program is designed for UCLA students to participate in advanced research in science or engineering while gaining valuable international experience during the summer period. Each student is required to work in a research lab full-time with Peking University (PKU) faculty and graduate student mentors on projects jointly designed by their advisors at PKU and UCLA. Students also have the opportunity to take Chinese classes and go sightseeing in and around Beijing.

Joint Research Institute of PKU and UCLA ramping up in many directions

The Joint Research Institute (JRI) in Science and Engineering of Peking University (PKU) and UCLA enters its fifth year of operation this summer, heralding a busy upcoming year.

About Us

JRI was founded in 2009 with the intention of fostering new and existing collaborations between UCLA and Peking University. Under the co-direction of Xiaoming Li (PKU) and Jason Cong (UCLA), JRI trains future science and engineering leaders with a global perspective, secures joint funding, and facilitates technology transfer of research results.

JRI aims to serve both institutions as they jointly confront global concerns in science and engineering.
